Stats since world cup 2011 for Dravid - in WI - 3 tests, 251 runs, avg 50.20 in Eng - 4 test, 461 runs, avg 76.83 in India against WI - 3 tests, 319 runs, avg 63.8 in Aus - 4 tests, 194 runs, avg 24.25 Dravid retired. Stats since world cup 2011 for Sachin - in Eng - 4 test, 273 runs, avg 34.12 in India against WI - 3 tests, 218 runs, avg 43.6 in Aus - 4 tests, 287 runs, avg 35.87 Once you've failed in Eng n in Aus and the team lost 8-0, and you know that there's no away tour to Eng, Aus, SA for a long long time, it was time to retire. It would have given time for any deserving up n coming youngster to settle in the team. But he didnt go. and his stats thereafter - in India against NZ - 2 tests, 63 runs, avg 21 in India against Eng - 4 tests, 112 runs, avg 18.66 in India against Aus - 4 tests, 192 runs, avg 32 in India against WI - 2 tests, 84 runs, avg 42

His average was continuously increasing. At this rate he would have averaged 50 + in SA. He should have stayed atleast for SA tour.:((

You very well knew Dravid had a horrid, horrid coiuple of years, much worse than Sachin or Ponting. He didn't retire. He waited till his stats were better. If Sachin has only played WI his stats would be better too, he skipped that series and gave youngsters chance On the other hand Sachin thought he still had something to give to the team and groom youngsters. Even though his personal stats were affected he retired when he felt he was no longer needed

That's really mean  The "can do no wrong, India ki shaan maan aan, Bharat Ratna" Tendulkar sits while the elderly ground staff who have worked all day have to stand. If that weren't enough, Tendulkar hogs all the limelight too sitting right in the centre. SRK as you can clearly see in the pic you've posted, stood to greet the ground staff. He didn't disrespect the ground staff by remaining seated while they were standing.
