Absolutely agree with you Rajeev. Someone that has played so many ODIs still doesn't know how to bowl a 10 run over (let alone a maiden over). Sreesanth showed why he is way ahead of Agarkar despite having played only couple of years of international cricket. Moreover Sreesanth is not even a first choice selection in ODIs. India can't find a replacement for Agarkar in the times when India has been churning away faster bowlers every year?

Yep, he p*ssed away today's match. India would have won outright, had he not bowled that 17 run over. I'd still keep him in the XI, but bowling him at the death is a definite no-no. He just can't bowl restrictively.

Agarkar is a classic case of rampant favoritism/nepotism in BCCI. My appeal to ICFers.....Please send mass mails to all Indian Channels, newspapers. There is practically no way we can get rid of him, other than protesting.:embaressed_smile:

agarkar has always been expensive. His economy rate in ODI's is on the high 5.0's. The argument posted was that he was a wicket taker. He did show a lot of promise, but its surprising to see him bowl this bad. Everyone knows he's a rhythm bowler. All rhythm bowlers thrive on confidence. But i dont see him staying too long in this indian side
