Magneto Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 The timing of this thread was wrong. Dhoni has always managed well on pattas.
JaFanatic Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Someone start an anti-Sehwag thread so that he can come back to form too :--D More anti threads.
Sidhoni Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 The timing of this thread was wrong. Dhoni has always managed well on pattas. :hysterical: Did you even have a look at the wicket? You'll see how difficult it is to bat on the pitch when Aussies come out to bat tomorrow.
Sidhoni Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 And to the OP, well you just got officially owned!

I haven't watched the match honestly, but the commentary I read did not say it was a minefield.

And Warne tweeted on Day 1 that this looks like a Day 5 pitch already.
game_changerr Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 please make more such ''anti threads''.....in fact make for entire 15 players in squad in addition of gambhir,raina,,,,etc:two_thumbs_up:

Okay okay, so it's a minefield and we had a couple of terrific Australian spinners bowling at Dhoni. I get it now. :giggle: So Warner, Clarke and Henrique also played some terrific knocks on a Day 5 pitch. Great!

Old guy Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Did you see Tendulkar's dismissal? its easy pitch tbh.. no demons
CG Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Its not a minefield as its too slow.Hope this does not turn in to a dead track as indian seamers taking wickets is highly unlikely so 10 wickets are to be taken by spinners again.May be this will be the first time 20 wickets by spinners.
Sidhoni Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I am not saying its a minefield but it is not at all a flat track.
Magneto Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Did you see Tendulkar's dismissal? I saw that. One out of 15 deliveries will fall into that rough patch and create such deviations. Did that happen throughout the match?
Sidhoni Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Look at the pitch at the end of Day 3. Flat track eh? I can build a sand palace out of it. Just quoting Slickr's post in the match thread.
Sidhoni Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 I saw that. One out of 15 deliveries will fall into that rough patch and create such deviations. Did that happen throughout the match? Many of those actually fell in the rough patch and Kohli and Dhoni did well to get to the pitch and negate them.
Magneto Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Many of those actually fell in the rough patch and Kohli and Dhoni did well to get to the pitch and negate them. You also need to consider that Australia's main spinner is a very average one. All credits to Dhoni for scoring a double, it is not easy on any pitch against any opposition. But that does not change the fact that he is not really facing a formidable opposition on a difficult wicket.
