The average kid today knows more about Superman's weakness than probably the names of all 4 sons of Dasrath. We were lucky to have watched Ramayan and Mahabharat and most of us watched it with great interest with our families. Amar Chitra Katha was a terrific way to learn about Hindu mythology too. Kids today would rather watch Disney Hour or whatever it is that they watch than watch reruns of Mahabharat. I think what would kickstart an interest in kids today would be a LOTR type hindi film on Ramayan/Mahabharat. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
