kabira
their fate will depend on 2moro's game between india v/s sa they will be in if SA beat IND they will still be in if Ind beat SA so SA NRR goes below kiwis.. Last super 8 game will be cracker.. Link to comment
zubinpepsi
If we beat SAF, NZ is out , i guess unless our NRR goes below 0.05 ...we now have 0.20 wud NRR decreseas even if we win? Link to comment
fineleg
Can India lose to SA but STILL go through? Is there a chance? Link to comment
Ram
Yes it can.. if Saffies score 80 all out , we score 81/9 in 20 overs to win , our NRR could go below NZ's Link to comment

Ram
Can India lose to SA but STILL go through? Is there a chance? NOPE. We have to win , and well. Though , the nature of 20/20 is such that , if we win , we are almost guaranteed to go through. Link to comment

DravidDaBest
If India lose then SA and NZ If Ind wins (Say less than 1.5 NRR in 2 morrow game ) SA and Inda If Ind wins ((more than 1.5 NRR) India and SA Bottom line, if we win SA, we're through to semis Link to comment
fineleg
yes' date=' they can immediately go through customs.[/quote'] No serious question, Can India go through to semis EVEN IF we lose to SA? Is there an academic chance? What about tie? Strike that, joke of bowl out will decide that. Link to comment

Strike that, joke of bowl out will decide that. tie and then we will a bowl out, yes. :D bottom line is this: SAF and NZ have 4 points already and we are at 2. We need 2 full points to get equal on points. then comes the NRR. since we already above NZ's NRR and our NRR CANNOT go less with a win, we will go through IF AND ONLY IF we win against SAF. Yoda , NRR is taken into acc consid all the 3 matches in the Super 8's. If we win so narrowly for our NRR to go below NZ ,we wont qualify. Link to comment

fineleg
:haha: hello? India beat Eng, then Ind MUST beat SA. If that is the equation then why even if Ind beat Eng, people were talking abt NRR over Eng? Link to comment
