Sweep or Leg glance?

Most subcontinental batsmen use a wristy leg glance for a spinner who bowls on the legs. They don't usually sweep like how Eng/Aus batsmen do. I would think a leg glance is always safer than a sweep. You can keep your balance and can time the ball very well. No wonder we see these batsmen like Cowan, Warner getting out bowled. VVSL and sometimes SRT as well uses the leg glance even when the ball is on the offside. That is super weird. SRT does a paddle sweep which is worse.

The sweep is a more aggressive shot. A batsman usually wouldn't sweep for just a single. Usually they are trying to pick a gap and go for a boundary. The leg glance obviously is a much safer shot but unlike against pace bowlers where you have the pace to work with, against a spinner it's much harder to get a boundary against a spinner from a leg glance (although with the bats nowadays it's becoming much easier)
