Not the strongest Indian team but easily the most ruthless Indian team I've seen. We've had stronger teams in the past and have had to contend with draws just because of our safe approach. It is not the strongest team ever. A very hard tour of SA is coming up. However, I believe we are on the way up. The team coould with some tweaks become our best ever and get back to number 1. The batting could be solid for years with vijay, pujra(will be best batsman in the world) and Kohli. If we score runs we can beat anyone anywhere. If we prepare right and get right players in , then talent and class in indian cricket is there. Just need to be bold and pick them, which we are starting to do

this team is not even anywhere near the best Indian team but it has done extremely well to hammer the Aussies.

I tend to disagree. True the result is 4-0 and Indian team dominated and many players performed well ( something of rarity before 2001). But one of major factors we should not ignore is this Australian team was as bad as Kiwi team was so 4-0 is akin to 2-0. Our spinners ( especially so called spinner - Bhaji) fails to spin ball when needed if pitch is not entirely helpful. Vijay the opener is very likely to fail in swing conditions. Ishant has to relearn bowling. But I am sure players like Kohli, Dhawan, Pujara and Rahane willcome good in SA.

Strongest was no doubt in the 2011 World Cup. Tendulkar at his peak, sehwag, gambhir, kohli, sehwag, raina, yuvi and dhoni in superb form. And dont forget, zaheer khan was really good during the world cup and bhajji did well too. This is my opinion, whenever I would look at the Indian batting card I was like When you replace one batsman, instead of being relieved you find yourself against a more tougher batsman.
