kablooee87 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 There were many posters who denounced this tournament as nothing more than a circus. Now that India has put in two good performances, how many of those posters still feel the same way? How many still feel that winning this tournament is pretty much irrelevant? I'm not accusing posters of using this as an excuse in case India didn't do well, I'm just trying to give those posters a chance to prove to people that their feelings had nothing to do with India winning/losing.
Aditi Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I still don't give a sh*t :D Felt pretty good after the India-Pak game tho
Predator_05 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 <--- :haha: I want India to win every match they play - doesn't matter what the format is.
Gambit Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Err, Bheembhai and I were the only ones. I certainly haven't changed my opinion. Only games that matter for me are the ones against Pak.

It is nothing like that. What has happened is similar to me going to watch a SRK movie(aint a big fan) and coming out plesantly surprised. This has nothing to do with me not having faith in my team or anything like that. And yes Test cricket still rules but at the end of day for me cricket is cricket and 20/20 is cricket. xxx

kablooee87 Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 Hit - Twist - Giggle - Jig some quality TP and masti thats about it ... if you think this is good cricket then you do not understand what Cricket is all about. ah, seperiority complex. Nowhere in my post did I mention my own opinion...so please don't assume.
Anakin Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I still haven't seen one ball live of this tourney
Aditi Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I still haven't seen one ball live of this tourney Same here, and no intention to. Haven't even seen Yuvraj's 6 6s yet.
Yuvraj4Captaincy Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 2020 will be the moest popular form of cricket ever
kablooee87 Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 2020 will be the moest popular form of cricket ever I doubt it. Cricket's appeal is in the nuances. The little subtleties. Twenty20 skips over a lot of that. Once teh novelty wears off, I think at best it'll compete with ODIs......maybe.

Twenty20 will replace it sometime during the next decade.

Predator_05 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 wont happen ... as the 2011 WC and 2015 WC are already on the calendar ... That can change. Seriously, who gives a sh*t about 50 over cricket now ? Attendances are pathetic. The World Cup was an absolute disaster. Twenty20 p*sses all over it.

Predator_05 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Wont change ... the sponsors and TV producers will not be happy ... as T20 reduces the Air time by 60%. So ? Overall viewership over those 3 and a half hours will be FAR higher. Advertising seconds will be sold at a much higher price.
