saurabhg1 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Intersting call.Does any player in india have the guts to make such a decision. Please.... Have some idea about whats going on in the world, before you post such nonsense.. :sherlock: The lankan trolls we can understand might have difficulty in reading /comprehending english, but I hope you are better than them.. check this link for the unsold players.. around 15th in that list.. http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-premier-league-2013/content/story/603194.html (or are you another lankan having difficulties with english language) :giggle::giggle:
saurabhg1 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Let alone his prowess as a T20 player, but how demoralizing it is when the lion's future captain is rejected at an aucton like this? It's like declaring the SL as worthless in terms of it's cricketing value. ^Fixed it for you mate, and do check out this link, more specifically the list of unsold players.... http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-premier-league-2013/content/story/603194.html :haha::haha:

JaFanatic Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Cool dude. well am very much a Indian. http://www.wisdenindia.com/cricket-news/chandimal-ipl/56535 lol lol lol he declared it when he went unsold for the waterboy role(afterall thats what a sl future captain is capable of). it is like a local cricketer who cant even get into his street team saying i dont want to captain my national team :cantstop: same old story, tell us something new :asleep:
cricfan123 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Oh no, Ipl is ruined without the fearsome chandimal. He was going to score 100 in 16 balls and take 10 wickets.
Vanarp22 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 does cricfan123 even know who chandimal is? he is a wicketkeeper. omg. fail. And stop the sarcasm. Chandimal is one of the few players not tempted by IPL and working hard to improve his game. Very humble and not attracted by money from IPL.
sivanand82 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 @Vanarp:Now that one Sensible ICFer here .This what i also was trying to say..But i got questioned on my Nationality.Come guys grow up there are some good players outside our team also.

cricfan123 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Someone should just close this thread people are ruining it and making fun of players unnecessarily
Vanarp22 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 @JAF: you need to be a little more nice to people...if you know what that means.
saurabhg1 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 does cricfan123 even know who chandimal is? he is a wicketkeeper. omg. fail. And stop the sarcasm. Chandimal is one of the few players not tempted by IPL and working hard to improve his game. Very humble and not attracted by money from IPL. This would've been much more belivable had he withdrawn himself from IPL before the auction, rather than after getting rejected in two rounds of auction :giggle::giggle: .... reminds me of the story of a fox and sour grapes... @Vanarp:Now that one Sensible ICFer here .This what i also was trying to say..But i got questioned on my Nationality.Come guys grow up there are some good players outside our team also. Ur intelligence / comprehension skills were questioned, rather than your nationality.. but again this will be beyond ur understanding.. :winky::winky:
Square Drive Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013  What if he was still young and tempted by his agent (even young players have agents in SL and their priority is money), but then notched up a level of maturity himself after he was given the vice-captaincy of the test and ODI teams? Now he should be a regular in both of those formats but when the auction was going on he didn't have a permanent place in SL team. Now he has a clear goal for his cricketing career :hatsoff:
JaFanatic Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 @JAF: you need to be a little more nice to people...if you know what that means. m sorry didn mean to hurt you :icflove:

Haarkarjeetgaye Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Intersting call.Does any player in india have the guts to make such a decision. yes. Kapil Dev, Anjum Chopra, Sunil Gavaskar, Saurav Ganguly, Syed Kirmani, Kris Srikanth,
Debutant Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 @Vanarp:Now that one Sensible ICFer here .This what i also was trying to say..But i got questioned on my Nationality.Come guys grow up there are some good players outside our team also. :omg: Vanarp and sensible ICFer. :omg:
sivanand82 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 yes. Kapil Dev' date=' Anjum Chopra, Sunil Gavaskar, Saurav Ganguly, Syed Kirmani, Kris Srikanth,[/quote'] Yes agreed. But any current player?
King Khan Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 AFAIK quite a few SL girls were curious about Chandimal since Sanga place him a seat in nat squad. So I understand why lungans are busy defensive for a fail occasion here. Unless he found any gems in them, and willing for a short cricket career, it was foolish to reject any ipl offer now. imo He is still young, he could come back in IPL in future with much better potential than what he is now. The way I see, he is building bad marketing for poor SL players. He gotta leave cricket soon.
