Bumper
When was the last time India won an ODI against the Aussies in a MUST WIN game ? I mean the neo-Aussie team post WC 2003, not the vulnerable one, prior to that Link to comment
Bumper
I was talking test matches. Why tests ? The comparison is between our ODI performances with our senior team and a 20/20 performance with our junior team. Link to comment

You said "forget the format". On ODIs, I agree and have been saying so that a transition should be made. Link to comment
Bumper
In Tests we would never know, until we give these guys a chance. Yuvraj is in the form of his life, we must make room for him. We need to find a spot for Sehwag too. Link to comment
The Outsider
Yuvraj is in the form of his life, we must make room for him. Ohhh no!!!! Not the same discussion again!!! 19 tests average 30. 10 in a row, average 30. FC average 42. Enough said. You might hold all these fancy thoughts that Yuvraj is going to become some kind of a great test batsman, but none of the facts point towards it. Just because he has been a superb batsman in the short version of the game doesn't mean much for tests. We need to find a spot for Sehwag too. Sehwag was dropped for a reason. He has done nothing to dispel those shortcomings till now for tests. But given that we are playing the next series against Pakistan, I would not mind see him playing ahead of Jaffer. Link to comment
fineleg
Tests and ODIs are a DIFFERENT ball game altogether. We should not confuse the two. The right horses for the right courses required. YS needs to show better ability to play the longer version by competing in county cricket or such. Right now VVS is still a good Test batsman and he is not going to be dropped. Link to comment
