Magneto Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 thats what I did : Pujara opener,ABDV death over specialists,Rampaul is in decent form so got him will be purchasing later for next game too. Abey, death over bowlers not batsmen. ABDV may score 25 in 8 balls and still give u losses. Picking No.5 and 6s will usually be a loss. (unless they are keepers or allrounders) Even if Rampaul gets 4-0-25-2, he'll still be a loss.
Sidhoni Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Gaurav - Can we have some bonus for S/R as well like we have for economy?

Rampaul is death over bowler then:dance: ABDV generally comes in early enough but there should be something for SR :protest:

Lord Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Gaurav - Can we have some bonus for S/R as well like we have for economy? yeah thats is a must Pollard bashed the bowling yesterday but still only got 56 points:((
Sachin=GOD Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Rampaul is death over bowler then:dance: ABDV generally comes in early enough but there should be something for SR :protest: yeah. Gaurav plz add a range of points for strike rates :protest: :protest: you can do it like this: less than 80 : -10 80-100 : -5 100-130 : +5 130 : 175 : +10 175 - 225 : +15 225 - 250 : +20 more than 250 : +25 p.s. you can also put a condition like - to get points on strike rates of over 175, the batsman would have had to face at least 10 balls. :--D:--D
Magneto Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 how he'll over 19 then On a patta I would say don't buy any bowlers. :headshake: You'll only be lucky to get a par. On the other hand, if you buy all 8 Top batsmen (1-4) from both teams, you'll land up with a profit anyway. :agree:

gaurav92 Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Gaurav - Can we have some bonus for S/R as well like we have for economy? yeah thats is a must Pollard bashed the bowling yesterday but still only got 56 points:(( No, I will give you all an example. Suppose I keep S/R bonus as follows :- 0-50 - -20 51-100 - -10 101-120 - -5 120-150 - 5 151-200 - 10 200+ - 20 And a player comes with last ball, and scores a 4 off the edge, his total points would be 4+20(for S/R) which will be definitely overvalued. And similarly, it a batsman on a juggler pitch scores 35 off 35, a good knock will just get 25 points (negative points for S/R). Also if I start rewarding bonus points for SR, the value of shares that I quote will also increase, for e.g Gayle will not only score runs, but score them quickly too, so I will value him higher, and in case somebody picks him up, will lose massively if he doesn't score. Now, the other option you would say is, take minimum number of balls as a base and then decide on the strike rate parameter (Say 10 balls). But the fact of the matter is that the valuation will become that much more difficult.

Look, I want a bonus table that strikes a balance between low SR and High SR. If you add the table points there, it would come to +50 which is highly in favour of the players(stock holders). The sum should be 0 as in the table that I set up. If you all want SR Points, I can keep my table and add the minimum 10 balls condition to it? But then again, good players will be overpriced and if they fail to perform, losses will be made.

As for the risk part, well that should be okay with everyone because if there is a risk of losing then there's also a very good chance of a profit in case of good S/R (which happens often in t20)
Sidhoni Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 What about this Gaurav? Less than 80 : -25 80-90 : -20 90-100 : -15 100-110 : -10 110-120 : 0 120-150 : 10 150-175 : 15 175-200 : 20 200+ : 25

Anything over 80 should not be penalized with more than -10.
