5. Carnish wakes up from sleep.
I know what I am saying is not very practical as the ICC and other other cricket bodies are full of spineless people. But it is possible. Just like we will never get rid of corrupt congress or corrupt BJP because the nice guys are spineless and do not care to stand against them. Sad but I am talking about the ideal case, what should happen.

I think you don't understand how things work in the real world. What you are asking for isn't real. Even if you magically replace BCCI, the replacement will exactly be like BCCI.

You didn't get my point. This is the order of events I'm talking about. 1. ICC derecognises BCCI 2. ICC asks GOI to form a new board for Cricket in India. 3.Zee Group restarts ICL and applies for operating permit from ICC and GOI. 4. ICC gladly accepts, not sure about GOI though cause many ministers with BCCI. :nervous:
This is more likely to occur 1. ICC derecognises BCCI 1.a. BCCI quits ICC, forms ICC 2 with SL, WI, SA, BD, Pak. 2. All major sponsors quit ICC and sponsors ICC 2. 3. BCCI includes all these teams into IPL bodies and makes IPL bigger. 4.3 years later, NZCB declares bankruptcy and struggles with players retiring early to join IPL. Joins ICC 2. 5.ECB and CSA see drop in Ashes popularity due to ashes being played every 6 months. 6. ICC is discarded within a decade of BCCI leaving.

BCCI is not a government body and it does not require any permission from GoI. So all you said is :fail: :hehe:

This is now getting out of hand. The journalist's need to use common sense. BCCI is not run by a bunch of stupid people who are going to flex their muscle for everything. Especially for something that cannot be proved. SL board has already made it clear they did not force the captain to vote. I think writing a cricket article against BCCI goes like this Add some crap BCCI is bully. Bcci threatening Add some crap Make profit.

Are you drunk :pray: Most likely BCCI will de-recognize ICC :hysterical: GOI has no business poking its nose in the best run sporting organization in the country. Jokers cannot even fix the Olympic association. It does not matter whether it is BCCI or Zee. Whoever represents India will bully ICC and the minnow boards.

I was stating what could happen. I have said it before and this is the last time, this is just in an Ideal scenario. In today's world getting bullied is ok for other cricket boards including ICC rather than taking a stand.

so for decades aussie/english boards/players/umpires screwing us was fine; this is payback. If other boards cant see who the boss is then BCCI should just walk away from ICC; form a mega IPL with test, ODIs and t20 among IPL teams. Lets see how many boards are able to hang on to their top stars. If we Indian generate most of cricket money then why the hell should we share it with anyone.

So, ICL needs and operating permit from GoI and GoI would be required to give permit to ICL but BCCI does not need permission from GoI.

So' date=' ICL needs and operating permit from GoI and GoI would be required to give permit to ICL but BCCI does not need permission from GoI.[/quote'] Arey, try to understand, As you said BCCI doesn't need permission as its an independent body. I said ICL would need permission because of point 2 .... ICC asking GOI to make a different body and hence if ICL needs to be that body, then they have to go through GOI. Where does BCCI, which has already been sacked comes in between all this?? And the part you have highlighted in point 4 means that GOI may deny permission to ICL just because many of its ministers are sided with BCCI and they won't want the power out of BCCI hands. Hence the nervous emoticon.

See, that's the point. BCCI can't be sacked. Never. As I mentioned before, its too powerful to be sacked by ICC. In fact, if BCCI is sacked, ICC will dissolve. :giggle: And even if we talk about 'ideal-case scenario', what guarantee do we have that the new body coming up will be any less corrupt?

You cannot guarantee the future and hence bend over to the corrupt powers forever. Such mentality is why we have Congress ruling over us for 60 years with nothing to show for it except Corruption.

ICC can't ask GoI to make a different body - ICC does not interfere with governments and vice-versa. On the contrary, if ICC sees government interference in sport - it can ban that board. Typically, governments are not allowed to interfere in sports and that should be kept that way.

I beg to differ. Congress is pathetic party no doubt. But BJP is communalist party. I hate it even more than I hate congress. India is a Secular state. No place for parties who favor one particular religion. And don't even get me started on Aam aadmi party. Its every thing other than a party for a common man.

Well congress is the one that lits the flames of communalism. Babri masjid issue was blown out of propotion by the great Rajiv. Not to forget the anti sikh riots. We need dictatiorship :hatsoff:
