Unless some really odd thing happens me thinks D Bravo will have an economy less than 5. 10 for catches 10 for a wicket and 5 for the economy. thats 25. Just one question what happens if Dj Bravo does not bat? the lot is null and void or what? Cause he bats at 6 and IMO there is a good chance he wont bat.

ok so i need DJ to score more than 10 runs to break even and 11 to make a profit. Must say Gaurav has valued his players extremely conservatively. Unlike the IPL were punts could be easily be made. which is why i shall be betting on players with mutliple skills who bat high up the order (top 6). AB and Dhoni for sure and even Kumar Sangakara Bravo Bopara (potentially)

This is different. This is 50 over game isn't it ? :--D
And looking at Gaurav's valuations especially for bowlers. He has set a rate effectively at 2 wickets and less than 5 runs per over economy.
Bowlers do bat a bit don't they ? :icflove:

@Gaurav - I think you missed these picks by me...
Those are tournament picks, will settle that at the end of the tourney !
@G92 - Can I pick the tournament index of Pak/WI players now?? (that would still be applicable for the remaining matches these players play' date=' wouldn't it?? or do I pick the tournament index of these players the next time Pak or WI plays because as you said earlier, the tournament index will remain the same..)[/quote'] Yes, but before the toss and since you posted your picks after the toss, you stocks are not taken Sorry :( And you cannot pick another time coz I will only keep the tournament index open in the opening game. So you will get an opportunity to pick the players of the other 4 teams in the coming matches. Not taken :(

yeah but this is probability. what odds on a bowler batting?
Well, just don't see that way. A bowler can pick up a wicket or two, be economical, grab a catch, score 7-8 runs and can earn you 30-35 easily. And hence I priced it at 24-29 sort of a range depending on the quality of the bowler and the strength of the opposition. And since the players are not making too much profit out of it suggests that the stocks are fairly priced :dontknow:

i respect your pricing. Even admire it. The house (casino) always protects itself :winky: a good bookie always has conservative hedges.

However those type of bookies rely on volume of bets rather than % profit. Ladbrokes especially are adept at doing that. Just out of curiosity, do you have a background in thus sort of stuff? stats? risk management? etc.

Nope. But I do love stats and risk analysis. I find portfolio management very interesting :agree:
