Sachin, Dravid and Ganguly - 1998

Yes yes that is what I said. You have some serious problem with basic comprehension skills. Without indulging in ad hominem' date=' you posted a statistic about Dravid from 2005-2008 and called him not world dominating. I posted back a reply saying that Tendulkar averaged around the same in that time frame. Will you now agree (by your own very yardstick) that Tendulkar was not world dominating either (in the same time frame) ?[/quote'] I think I've said it 3 times already NOT to just look at averages.. and here you go again.. :banghead:

No.. we are talking about the Outlook cover.. which is about "World Domination". Reading Comprehension helps.
So what does the RC skills tell about the statistic of Dravid's average vs Tendulkar average? Tendulkar's average is the same as Dravid. So how can Tendulkar "world dominate" and Dravid "not world dominate" ? PS - Stop calling names to players, you may get it back worse.

Then why did you post it? You keep on saying don't look at averages but keep on posting them to bulk up your argument. Admit it - you screwed up. :--D

saket vs DM and Outy
there is no me versus anybody.. Honestly, I couldn't care less. You idolize Chuteshwar Pujara.. others Idolize Dravid/Ganguly... Knock yourselves out.. In India it is an extremely short trip to climb up to the top of the pedastal. I just highlighted the FACT that Dravid and Ganguly didn't really dominate the world. Their performance against their peers indisputably proves that. End of story.

I wouldn't exactly call Tendulkar as world dominating either.. I think the only one who fits that category during that era is Ricki Ponting. But if you only look at individual stats.. then Tendulkar's performance amongst his peers put him above Dravid and Ganguly FOR SURE...

:hysterical::hysterical: Sure....a batsman who would easily make the top 5 of his generation did not dominate the world! And that's a FACT?

BS prediction. Ganguly retired from ODIs in 2007.. so not 10 years.. and Ganguly averaged less than 35 in ODI 3 years before retirement and a meager 42 in tests 3 years before retirement. Dravid averaged 43 in tests from 2005 thru 2008 and 39 in ODI for the same duration. Great for India? Yes.. But I wouldn't call that as "World Domination" by a far shot. There have been only a few ATG in cricket... guys like Ponting, Sachin, Sobers, Murali, Warne etc all in that category... I hate it how desis put above average to average players on the pedastal. Blind Idolatry much?
Read thru my posts again..
Quoting your post once again. An average of 43 in Tests from 2005-2008 makes Dravid great for India but not "world dominating". By the same yardstick, Tendulkar's average of 44 in Tests in the same period makes him great for India but not "world dominating". Let me see you agree on that.

Fair enough - your opinion. Can we know why you say that? There needs to be some reason behind your statement.

And your other stuff like Dravid never reaching number 1 in the rankings has been shown to be false as well. :hysterical:

The moment I pointed anomalies in your argumentsome time back it was about "world domination" according to the Outlook cover and tried a quip on my RC skills. Now it is about Tendulkar vs Dravid and Ganguly. What does this say about your intent in the original post now?

Dravid did not reach #1 rankings EVEN ONCE in the 10 years since that stupid outlook cover. You have a problem accepting facts.

LOL. Let me try to break it down for you. You posted Stat 1, 2, 3 ... to make your argument. I am taking each of them 1 at a time. I took Stat 1 and I'm falsifying it and turning the tables on you. The others 2,3 ... are taken up by others and falsified as well. So what other stuff do we need to look into? The brands Dravid, Tendulkar and Ganguly endorsed perhaps or their hair styles, watches, apparel which they wear when they sleep!

He's just running around trying to save some online face now. Next he will say rankings count only at the end of the year to cover up his made up story about Dravid not ever being number 1. Watch this space. :hysterical:

Dravid was ranked #1 Test player in 2004. Last I checked that came after April 6, 1998.

OH WOW.. YEA.. YOU GUYS FALSIFIED EVERYTHING.. (you in the business of falsifying papers or something?).. :haha: How can you "falsify" RECORDS AND RANKINGS AS THEY ARE??.. they are what they are??
