G_B_ Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 do they have reserve days or what? 19th and 20th june semis and final on the 23rd june leaving 20th 21st and 22nd as reserve days for semi 1 and 21st and 22ns as reserve days for semi 2 but the key question is what happens if it is rained out? do they play it again or start from where they left the other day or what? or does the team with most points in the group go through?
StriKe Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Semi Final If a semi-final is tied, the teams shall compete in a Super Over to determine which team progresses to the final. Refer Appendix 8 click here to read. If following a tie, weather conditions prevent the Super Over from being completed, or if the match is a no result, then the Group winners shall progress to the Final. So being #1 in points table will help you to enter finals.
StriKe Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Final In the event of a tied Final, the teams shall compete in a Super Over to determine which team is the winner. Refer Appendix 8 click here to read. If following a tie, weather conditions prevent the Super Over from being completed, or if the match is a no result, the teams will be declared joint winners.
G_B_ Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 india better win the group then. I suspect the weather might not allow a super over. If i was India i would also have my super over options ready. Bhuvi to bowl, Dhawan, Rohit and MSD to bat.
adi B Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 its written tied, not 'washed out'..in case of wash out, match might be played on the reserved day else group winner goes through
