randomGuy Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 the 2 examples he gives - 1 where a swiss couple was cycling in the area of chambal valley known for banditry, for which police had severe warning regarding travelling. 2nd where, if i remember right, an american lady was hitchhiking post mid-night between 2 cities. there is stronger case of indian students not studying abroad due to racial attacks, even murders , of sikhs not going due to racial attacks, the recent attack on their gurdwara in the us leaving 6 dead. but no, that would be ridiculous as well. and then he talks abt foreigners should not come to india due to acid attacks, as if acid attack ever happened to a foreigner. desh ko gali zaroor do, i will also join and i dont get personal abt it. but do it for valid reasons.
Tiger80 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I think it has been sufficiently established by social scientists and statisticians alike that you can not compare rape statistics across countries for various reasons . Rape stats give you a very important information and if analyzed they are very good indicators. Take the case of India and Bangladesh, Bangladesh has 7.5 rapes per 1 lakh population while India has 1.8. .now one can clearly say Bangladesh has much rapes than India as both countries are very similar
