gorah_pindu Posted October 8, 2007 Author Posted October 8, 2007 Thats probably because everything has the same color palette. But you are missing something if you play this or Bioshock on your TV. Both the games are gorgeous even on a decent SD TV. I still feel Gears has the best graphics in a game yet and its almost a year old. What other games are playing and what are you planning to get in the near future? PS: Tried chainsawing yet? Yeh, I prefer ranged combat tho :) And yeah, definalty a fine looking game. Mass Effect and maybe a few Japanese RPGs next for me. About time someone made some India themed games :)

sgusa Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Own a Wii. Love the sports game. I got a 280 in bowling !!! And hit 4 HR in a row :)
Zap_Brannigan Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Good news : Apparently, an exclusive review of Mass effect was in this months Game Informer Magazine. It scored a 9.75 (Same as Halo 3 and The orange box). So it turned out to be as good as we expected it to be (After all it's from Bioware) The trinity is complete and awesome. Bad News : EA bought Bioware so that means Mass effect 2 and 3 won't be as good esp since you can also play it in your cell phones.
gorah_pindu Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 WHAAT!!! EA bought Bioware! OMG - the greatest maker of western RPGs is gonna be ruined.
sgusa Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 yup, I read the full slashdot page on that. Fscktards in EA will bring out "EA presents Joe Madden's Mass Effect 2" and it will suck balls.
Zap_Brannigan Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Be sure to get Mass effect '08,Mass effect '09, Mass effect '10, Mass effect '11 on Xbox 360,PS3,Wii,PS2, Gamecude,Xbox,GBA,DS,PSP and your cell phones.
gorah_pindu Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Fortunatly, Mass Effect 1 is still exclusive. Maybe the sequels will be too - dunno. But its a sad day for gamers, because BioWare were the height of perfection. Now we will get titles that are below 9/10 from them coming out.
Zap_Brannigan Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 From teamxbox We brought you an official statement from Microsoft regarding the Mass Effect trilogy. Now, following today's shocking news, BioWare Corp. gave an interview to Gamespot in which the Canadian developer addressed the EA buyout. Among other topics, the co-founders and co-CEOs of BioWare, Drs. Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeshcuk, also discussed the future of Mass Effect. Mass Effect was billed as being this big booster for Microsoft's publishing efforts and as one of the biggest Xbox 360 exclusives. Will it remain a 360 exclusive? Ray Muzyka: Microsoft is a great partner, a great publishing partner, and we're really excited to work with them. And we love the 360. One of the things we've talked about is getting multiple iterations of this franchise out during its lifetime, since it's such a great system to work with. And we see Microsoft as a long-term partner on Mass Effect. Will Microsoft be publishing future iterations of Mass Effect or will EA be publishing it itself? Greg Zeschuk: We can't predict the future. We'll see what happens. The key thing is we're making a trilogy of Mass Effect games, and we've got a great story arc.

As someone who love shooters and hate RPGs, i loved Jade empire and anticipated Mass effect over GTA and Halo 3. Sad day for gamers around the world.
gorah_pindu Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 I love RPGs a lot. There are like 60 already announced or out for 360.
King Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I have a modded xbox and wii. I quite like playing wii but never get enough time to finish a game. I'm now playing Splinter Cell Double agent and it's quite cool to play that with the wii controller. I'm waiting for the day when tennis game like top spin or cricket titles are made for wii. I will then be full on with wii.

Exactly Ravi...I love the wii tennis they have but hope EA Sports or someone comes out with a more refined singles version...cricket on wii would be kick-ass if the enormous potential of the platform is realized.
gorah_pindu Posted October 14, 2007 Author Posted October 14, 2007 Wii sales are slowing in Japan. I think people are over the controller gimmick.
gorah_pindu Posted October 14, 2007 Author Posted October 14, 2007 Hey check this out, there is some devenagari writing in the opening title of the 360's upcoming Final Fantasy killer - Lost Odyssey. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/26385.html?type=mov Can someone translate?
gorah_pindu Posted October 14, 2007 Author Posted October 14, 2007 Google Indic tool is hard to type with, but here is basically what the text is: डएखथ्ओयजे I got a couple wrong, because I couldnt find the right key. Ignore the dot above the end charecter and below the middle charecter.
Zap_Brannigan Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I have seen that trailer before but completely missed that. I suppose you like Turn based RPGs a lot. Tried Blue Dragon or Eternal Sonata yet? I played the demos but couldnt get into it. Everytime i get a chance to try a turn based RPG, i do (incl. some FF)but just can't get the charm of those games. Even in Jade Empire or Marvel ultimate alliance, after the 1st few hours, i didn't care about the side quests or powering up.....Just did it if it came across the stroyline.Completed both in under 20 hours and thought they dragged on a little. So i really cant imagine playing a 70 hour game.
Chaos Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 some on buy Socom 3 for ps3 and come online to play it, STUNNING GAME!
Zap_Brannigan Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Isn't Socom 3 a PS2 game? Not to sound rude, but after playing on Xbox Live, playing online on anything else is a huge stepdown. I tried connecting PS2 for Timesplitters (or some other shooter) and i gave up online gaming on PS2.
