and to be frank, i really dont know why the BCCI is against using two new balls rule.

Why would BCCI make an issue on something pointless ? One possible scenario : Suppose BCCI wants to push through something that is important to it, something that is opposed by the West and is likely to cause bad press for BCCI. So BCCI would instead pick a random issue that is of no consequence to it, where it knows that it will lose. Make a lot of noise in the press. Bring it up for vote, and lose. Make further statements in the press, which will celebrate that the bully has lost, for once. Meanwhile BCCI will push through the real controversial issue with no headlines and hardly anyone noticing.

Wouldn't it make more sense to at least change the ball after 25 overs if they are worried about ball condition issue instead of using 2 new balls?
