The Outsider Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Can SL pull one back here? Looks unlikely at the moment. SL 112/4 after 24 overs after a decent start.
Chandan Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Jayawardene gone for duck again?? This has been a terrible series for him. Generally he is the batsman who bullys the opposition bowlers to submission on his home-soil!!
The Outsider Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 Now Dilshan goes. 131/5 in 28.5 overs. This has been a remarkable and unexpected performance by England. Even without Murali not many would have expected SL to concede an ODI series at home to England.
observer1 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 England are now far better than those days when they carried Vaughan, gave free runs with Saj Mahmood, had Jones/ Prior pretending to bat, and having to rely on Flintoff for everything. Broad ,Anderson and Sidebottom have come on well. But, I would still like to see these bowlers on batsman-friendly tracks (where you can hit based on line, such as India, the Oval, SA tracks in daytime etc) to see how they can cope with an all-out assault
The Outsider Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 England 76/5 chasing 212 after 19 overs.
The Outsider Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 82/7 now. Fernando picks up 5 wickets.
The Outsider Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 82/8 now. Fernando gets his 6th wicket.
Ram Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Fernando , AGAIN , coming up with a match winning performance.
