zep1706 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 As I said yesterday bat 45 mins to 1 hr after lunch and try to get as many as you can, that is if they don't get bowled out before. I am 100% confident that they can't chase down a 420+ target here.
zumi Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 260 lead with 8 wickets(4 wickets literally can't expect even 10 runs from last 3). We should manage 100 more unless we have a collapse somewhere around. 350+ is seriously good total on this ground. Pitch is doing a bit only in the morning session. At least 300 needed With 224 and not includign the lead. we should definitely add atleast 150+ from here on since we know Rohit, Dhoni, Rahane and Ashwin are yet to come. Which would mean we are putting South Africa to chase atleast 415+. That's ideal. Not really' date=' every over there have been few unplayable deliveries. SA aren't reversing and if you have an old ball in SA which does nothing you're in for a trouble.[/quote']
SLICKR392 Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 Pitch is getting flat' date=' need big score.[/quote'] 'Wise Guy' RKT. "A wise guy's always right even when he's wrong, he's right." :((
Pagalpanti Posted December 22, 2013 Author Posted December 22, 2013 Tbh 450 was a good 60-80 runs surplus. I still believe this pitch has a lot in it but our bowlers just lost it, they kept attacking rather than how they did it in 1st innings, ie let the pitch do it. Moreover Ashwin's ineffectiveness is causing India problems. He's been tight to his credit but you need more from a spinner on day 5. Add to that Zaheer who lost his zip after initial spell.
