Huge lead, after the wicket of Kallis and ABDV, Duminy and despite allowing Steyn to flourish - the bowlers were taken apart to cleaners by Robbie Peterson and FDP. Sucks!

Thats where you are wrong. I was actually hoping it does not come true. I think you only see people with your mindset and don't understand that people can be very different. When someone says "oh something bad is going to happen", they may actually be wishing it does not happen that way. People are different and ways of expressing anxiety over something (in this case SA lead) can be different too. So, next time you see some people say "OMG is surely gonna happen" - keep your mind open that they may be "wishing/hoping" it does not happen, but they are bracing for it to happen (if it does end up happening). People react and express differently. I think all Indian people (nearly all) in this forum hope or (rather want to see)to see India as #1 side in all the formats. Period. But the way of expressing what they want versus what they think will actually end up happening - can be optimistic or pessimistic - depending on the styles.
