good thing is that no one is "undroppable" (if thats even a word!) We should take bhuvi out of test lineup and give him all the nz one dayers to see how he goes. Need more hit the deck bowlers who can take out a batting lineup, even if we make it 60-1, better than 100+ for 0. Selectors are half there but not taking out ishant.

Get wickets he is at best support bowler who can hold an end Anyway we are being greedy now before this series we had 0 bowlers and now we have 2 in jaddu and shami And batting line up barring pujara was not trusted at all and now we know we have 1 good opener. He should be able to do it at any position he gets now. There are enough batsman doing very well in Ranji to snatch watever position they get in the national team More importantly, the problem we have is, the confidence that has to come while seeing Dhoni or Rohit come in to bat is not there, its like they are worse than tailenders. That sucks

It's still better than confidence u have at just seeing dhoni And it makes no sense...see it this way we will be 200 for 3 when rahane comes at 5 than 200 for 4 and team totally on back foot In fact rohit might find it easier if rahane scores and when we are in very good position Also Aussie always played their top 5 batsmen at top 5 positions so that they dominate

I dont think they are going to put Rohit down the line up rather than throw him out entirely. Lets see what happens in the next test series

Why not ? For their ranji side (Mumbai) rahane bats above rohit...it's natural for rahane to play in top order and not tail while rohit to play with lower order and attack with big shots and shield tail .. Rahane will be much more comfortable playing with pujara and Kohli and making big partnership .. Chances are at 6 he will rarely get chance to play with them and will end up scraping 50 runs and seeing tail get destroyed

Rohit is like Kohli, if he is in form he gets his runs quickly. So he should stay at 5. We shouldn't make these judgements just after 2 tests. Rahane wasn't even backed before this tour began. People said he couldn't handle Finn on Indian pitches, he'll be a dud here. But what a turn around this tour has been for him. Give Rohit some time.
