putrevus
It is not entirely due to his failures but it is more due to team composition. It is not just the question of him being a slow starter but more about him not able to kick on after using up lot of deliveries to get his eye in, this approach works when you are chasing low totals and also your opening partner is in great form like Dhawan was in 2013 and CT. Rohit Sharma and Kohli are the senior most players on this team and have played over 120 matches yet they are so different. The batting order of this Indian line up is looking very weak on power hitters, Rohit can play big shots, would he fit better there but him being notorious slow starter negates that ability. He along with Pujara and Rahane dont bowl at all , it shows dhobi trusted Kohli's bowling more than this guy says a lot about his bowling. Kohli's bowling is ridiculosly bad and nohit still does not bowl overs to kill . Link to comment
