bulbul Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 We lost in the final - not the first round. If Dhoni should go (on the basis of this match)' date=' all the other seven captains should go too.[/quote'] India had only one Captain :hmmmm2:
Rotating Potato Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 LOL because of Dhoni's calmness we reached so far till final. All commies appreciated his captaincy as well. Yuvi needs to go. Calmness!! ??try more like cluelessness !
Austin 3:!6 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Calmness!! ??try more like cluelessness ! 1st match vs Pak - All right moves, checked opposition in 130, easy win. 2nd match vs WI - Again checked opposition under 140, easy win. 3rd match vs Aust - Lost the toss...won the match grand style by bowling out opposition cheaply 4th match vs BD - No competition...blown them Semi vs SA - Blown them Final - Lost the game in last 5 over of Indian innings due to poor batting. What is the clueless captaincy you see here? Under MSD, team India lost 1st ICC match after 11 successive wins. MSD has lead India to championship in all ICC events where he reache KO stage, barring this one game. LOL no other skipper in history apart from Ricky Ponting has so many trophies. And people want him to retire just because he lost one T'20 is lol worthy. I guess many getting confused with his test captaincy with LOI and need to retrospect. No one is denying he needs to be replaced as a skipper in tests ( as a wk bat he still should play) but in LOI I see him leading 3 more years atleast.

We are talking about people that mention throwing bricks at player's houses, calling players personal names , suspecting their intent and posting when they sense losses.
Marut Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 India had only one Captain :hmmmm2: I meant the other teams that did not even reach the final.

Subcontinental pitches. Oppositions like australia and wi who are bad players of spin. Pakistan with its mental block. Spinners naturally performing good. Virat kohli. Is dhoni in anyway responsible for these factors? Arent these factors major contributor to india's campaign? Its not me , its dhoni who is confused between tests and loi. He only has one plan in the name of strategy, and that is too bowl his spinners and wait for the opposition to make a mistake. In india it works, outside subcontinent, the result is there for all to see. .whether its tests or one day. Now i'm not saying he has not achieved anything. He has . No doubt. But my friend ,his luck has run out. He hasnot achieved anything in tests so its an easy thing to say remove him from tests. But the glare of those cups are also fading. And sooner than later the flaws will be there for all to see. He's still ok for 50 over matches. But 20 over and test cricket he should retire from.

For the record we were humilaited in the last three t20 wcs and dhoni did not perform well with the bat still the shameless bootlicker hanged on to captaincy.
vijay50 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 130 against Sanga, Jaya and Dilshan was impossible to defend for any captain. We lost the game in the last 5 overs of Indian innings. Yuvi was sent in the 11th over, plenty of time to get into groove. So can't blame skipper here. West Indies defended similar 136 runs last year against SL with Jaya,Sanga and Dilshan. Its possible , but Dhoni gave up. Earlier match also he removed Ashwin after he took a wicket and bowled Raina and let match meander. Dhoni never learns.

He bowled Jadeja in the death and he went for 20 runs He over-bowled Raina and he went for 14 runs in one over in the middle overs Just because for once our bowlers were on top, please do not try to credit Dhoni for it. He was defensive a lot. It is because of his part timers teams even got to 130 Do keep in mind, none of these things work overseas, nor are our spinners or part timers more effective. We are going to lose the world cup badly if he follows the same strategies
CSK Fan Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Don't embarrass yourself any further :hysterical: Fair enough you don't want to give credit to Dhoni for wins but how can you blame him even though we are winning under his captaincy :cantstop: Because we were not in a coma during the overseas defeat. We were not in a coma in the previous T20s we lost and he didn't score. We were not in a coma during the defeat after defeat after defeats in ODIs I will turn the question back to you, how you credit him after all the humiliation overseas just because we won some matches in a hit and giggle format?
Rotating Potato Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Don't embarrass yourself any further :hysterical: Fair enough you don't want to give credit to Dhoni for wins but how can you blame him even though we are winning under his captaincy :cantstop: take off you dhoni tinted glasses. I did say he's ok for odi's. Last t20 world cups, we were beaten for NRR. .did you not see how even though chances for improving run rate was there for the taking still each match was taken to last over. You still didn't answer if there was any tactical brilliance on the field by captain cool you enjoyed so much as to negate his glaring shortcomings. This habit of ours of hanging on to past glory is the reason deserving players burst their asses in domestic during their best years and don't get a look in the team. I wonder how do you feel about kapil dev not being in the team now. Ps: can your holier than though attitude.
Rotating Potato Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 For the record we were humilaited in the last three t20 wcs and dhoni did not perform well with the bat still the shameless bootlicker hanged on to captaincy. he will keep doing so. He was captain of the team that won two cups. So whether he actually performed in even 10 pc of the matches does not matter. He can stay in the team for 15 years now because of them. For some posters the image of dhoni carrying the cup entitles him to stay in the team forever. They forget 7 whole years have passed since then.
Austin 3:!6 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Did you even watch a single match? We are going to lose the world cup badly if he follows the same strategies In death where Ajmal was taken to cleaners, you really can't blame Jadeja. T'20 is a format where bowlers will go for runs in death overs, can't blame Dhoni for that. He overbowled raina because Mohit was taken for plenty and Jaddu was ineffective against left handers. Don't know if it will work overseas or not, but he just lead India to a win in Champions trophy in England :two_thumbs_up:
Austin 3:!6 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Because we were not in a coma during the overseas defeat. We were not in a coma in the previous T20s we lost and he didn't score. We were not in a coma during the defeat after defeat after defeats in ODIs I will turn the question back to you, how you credit him after all the humiliation overseas just because we won some matches in a hit and giggle format? Again CT win was no hit and gigle format. If you consider T'20 as hit and gigle format, why the lose in previous two T'20 WC bothers you?

I wonder how do you feel about kapil dev not being in the team now. Ps: can your holier than though attitude. I would advice you to take off that hatred glass brother. No one is living in the past, he is the best skipper at present by country mile. His selection as World T20 captain testifies that. Tactical Brilliance? By that do you mean innovative captaincy? I can point out one. When all the teams, including Aust and Eng starting with a spinner...MSD read the condition and allowed seamers to start the attack. Bhuv got his swing back and the good spells for seamers at top was the main reason we bowled so well in this tournament.
