I don't know why some people have problems with him being dropped? Gautam Gambhir averaged 36 with a SR of 81 but was still dropped after being out of form for about a year. He hasn't made a comeback yet. He was a WC hero too. He was great opener for us but still finds it difficult to find a place in the squad. Yuvraj averages 18.5 in ODI's in the last 19 ODI games. The biggest disappointment is that he has no redeeming factors in his game. His fielding was extremely poor, he dropped quite a few catches in the T20 WC. His batting barring one game was embarrassing. He needs a break and needs to be dropped. IPL should not be used as a yardstick to pick anyone in the ODI team. We are less than one year away from the WC and we cannot play a player who does not inspire any confidence with the bat at the moment.

people forget so easily.. that once the baggage was dropped, india won the ct13 in england. started winning series under all sorts of situations. beat australia 4-0 at home. yes we lost series too overseas but thats bad captaincy and strategy more than anything. still a young team, should be ready for england. why do people want yuvraj in the squad? he cost us a world cup. anyone could take his place and done better - hit out or get out simple principle. had we played uthappa or even dhawan at 4 we would have been in a better position. yuvraj would never play for india again if i was controlling this, sorry
