Cricketics Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I though twenty20 was a meaningless for you guys? or for some of them. Then why a meaningless game should cost someone like Yuvi, his career. I know Yuvi didn't play well, but you can't call him to retire and crap like that. He might not be the same beast, but lankans bowled well. I am not just trying to defend Yuvi, he did play some poor shots today instead of taking singles, but this doesn't mean he sucks and should be dropped or not given a chance again in our LOI again. He can be part of the 50 overs if used rightly . So much for one bad knock in a final where only 2 guys were able to impress among all the bats.

Cant play quality spin, cant play swing, cant play good pace and bounce. He will keep getting found out against half decent bowlers.

He was an egoistic maniac who thought he had every right to hog deliveries while his team's chances were dwindling.

Right through the tournament, has looked aloof, sluggish on field and has too many misfields . Mentally not there anymore it seems. Can't see how he can make a comeback now for the WC.

Same reason why ganguly lost respect. He played a real selfish knock like this just to get form in a match where India was running away. He made like 9 in 25 balls. India eventually lost. That was a bilateral game. Even for that he was roundly thrashed by fans. This is far worse.

So people are asking for him to be axed forever from ODI'S, THE 50 over format is what I am thinking. Can you name me few players who deseve to have a go on regular basis who have done consistently well.? We have been losing every damn odi and odi series. Infact not even been able to win any match. And that was without Yuvraj too. Wake up, this tournament is over. The real big picture is the WORLD CUP, A 50 OVER FORMAT where we have been sucking recently and losing everything. Yuvraj. None other than Kohli with the bat or Dhoni have been consistent. So there is always a room.
