fineleg Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Umpire Ian Gould said that the match would commence at 8.30 a.m. on Monday and ideally finish before sunset (which usually happens at 4.15 p.m.). MSD should win toss and opt to bowl first. No use giving the first advantage to Pak. Ofcourse if we dont win the toss, different matter altogether.
ludhianvi Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 early dew and moisture and swing. A lethal combination
fineleg Posted November 3, 2007 Author Posted November 3, 2007 early dew and moisture and swing. A lethal combination Yep, FIRST match of the series at 8:30am. MUST win the TOSS - crucial.
kablooee87 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 wow 8:30 is way too early to start a cricket match.
Dravid Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 it thought dew makes it harder to bowl..not bat
DaRealPathan Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 it thought dew makes it harder to bowl..not bat you are rat
fineleg Posted November 4, 2007 Author Posted November 4, 2007 it thought dew makes it harder to bowl..not bat It will assist the medium pacers. By the time spinners come on, it will start getting warmer.
MundaPakistani Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 wow- we don't even start our tape ball matches at 8 30!
fineleg Posted November 4, 2007 Author Posted November 4, 2007 This sux...1st hour will be so crucial and will tilt the match If a lot of swing is detected, we should batsmen #10 and #11 to open and play in reverse batting order.
chanakya Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 yaaay at least no Asif he would have been lethal in these conditions. Anyway the ball will swing all through the match i think. It does not get too hot there does it?
Ram Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 F'leg, just a polite observation. Sometimes, you have this tendency of including the entire content of your opening post in the title itself. :D
fineleg Posted November 4, 2007 Author Posted November 4, 2007 F'leg, just a polite observation. Sometimes, you have this tendency of including the entire content of your opening post in the title itself. :D perhaps yes some of the times, but more because I sometimes like to convey the complete gist. Well, its a judgement call that I take when I create a thread, and can't make everyone happy all the time, so I go with my judgement at that time.
Chaos Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 F'leg, just a polite observation. Sometimes, you have this tendency of including the entire content of your opening post in the title itself. :D which is very good and title should tell the most of the upcoming story.
