in that match, him and tendulkar has scored centuries a piece to stich together the first ever 200+ partnership in the game. a record that would again be broken by saurav ganguly and a certain sachin tendulkar, a record that would then be broken by saurav ganguly and rahul dravid (and intriguingly in both the last two instances, against a hapless sri lanka).
