Sachin=GOD Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 The best thing for Congress would be if they want to go forward with Gandhi Legacy, Ask Varun Gandhi to join Congress and take the leadership. In this way Congress will be able to get an aggressive leader, someone who can challenge Modi in future and Gandhi legacy can also continue. For Varun, it will be a victory and revenge of the way his mother was treated after Sanjay Gandhi's death and also he can think about highest posts in national politics. Exactly what I was thinking. If congress really has to stick with the Nehru dynasty then Varun is the only real leader left in the dynasty. He has the charisma, aggression and is extremely ambitious. But for the best few years I expect congress to stick to Rahul/Sonia/priyanka... Why will Varun take that risk? he can try that from BJP itslef & revenge will be even sweeter :cantstop: In BJP he will be one of the many leaders and at least for the next 10-15 years he has no hope of getting a major leadership position (except UP CM candidate) while in congress he will be the undisputed leader because of his surname.

How do you know? RG/Sonia are there from long time, so it works fro them. Also Varun is with BJP now so he cannot be called as "Secular" Also the state Con party is in it may take 10 years to recover if Janata parivar is united again.
Texan Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 As much as I hate to say this, they will come back. In 1998-99, there was a similar sentiment and feeling that Congress will never be able to regain their popularity. Yet, we found them ruling the country for 10 years.

Such small things don't matter when you are taking about congress and members of the Nehru dynasty. Obviously all this is just speculation but it is not impossible.

May be use Amit shah & the backroom boys used in this election dedicatedly for this purpose. Also need to set retirement deadlines for oldies..time for them to enjoy rest of their lives.
