Dil Dil India
The nonsense about competition keeps getting repeated by the morons despite having had it pointed out to them that since Nadal won his first slam, Federer and Nadal have won pretty much the same number of slams. So much for that nonsense. It is hard to call someone the GOAT when 9/14 slams are on one surface and one bloke is so clearly better on 3/4 surfaces. Muloghonto
Federer is also a much better claycourter than Nadal is a grass courter. Federer has one channel slam, nadal has two. Federer could've had 4-5 channel slams if he hadnt run into the greatest claycourter (Nadal) and Nadal would've had 2 more channel slams if he hadnt run into Federer or Roddick in those years. But its pretty clear from Federer's record that he is much more competent on clay against bonafide claycourters than Nadal is on grass against grass courters. This theory about Nadal being GOAT is made only by his fans. Nobody who really knows tennis says that Nadal>Federer.

This issue was settled in 2008 when Nadal had whipped Federer in 3 straight sets in french with third set having score lines of 6-0 and then Nadal defeated him on his favorite surface savanna within a month. After that fight has been more on internet. On courts it has been one sided affair.

That nadal dominates federer h2h doesnt change the fact that federer is a much better claycourter than nadal is a grasscourter. Nadal, tge greatest claycourter ever stopped federer from winning 4 french opens. Nadal on the other hand, gets stopped by so many nonames in wimbledon. Raghav_12
Djokovic has lost 3 Grand Slam finals since AO 2013. Wim 2013 to Murray and US 13 and FO 14 to Nadal. High time he fixes that.
zep1706
This has been a very high quality first set so far. Both players are playing well. Hope it stays this way.

akshayxyz
started watching first set midway...what a quality. Federer is making more unforced errors, esp 1st serve and backhand...imagine his usual self w/o that. Looks like Djoker would edge past Federer. zep1706
First set to Federer. Djokovic had set point on his serve but could not come up with a decent serve. This has been the story for him in slam finals. Close but no cigar. Both players are playing excellent, Federer is clear in his head on big points. That was the difference. zep1706
For Djokovic he needs to find a way to break Federer's serve. If it gets close like in the TB, Federer is mentally in a better state.
