A spokesman for the North Korean Foreign Ministry threatened "merciless counter-measures" if the United States (or film studio based in the United States, anyway) releases "The Interview," a James Franco-Seth Rogen comedy that depicts an attempt to assassinate Kim Jong Un, BBC News reported. "Making and releasing a movie on a plot to hurt our top-level leadership is the most blatant act of terrorism and war and will absolutely not be tolerated," the unnamed spokesman said, according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency. "If the U.S. administration allows and defends the showing of the film, a merciless counter-measure will be taken."
