A thread for Dhoni Fans-Grievances against Bashers

Hi Dhoni fans, A lot of Bashers -Not surpringly though ,around today but how come most of you are missing :hmmm: I know there are a lot of Dhoni bashing threads today so wanted you guys to give you a forum to express your support to Captain Kewl or Captain Process as he is known recently. Please Let us know your grievances against undeserved bashing(according to you) that your idol has been getting :winky: We will adress your concerns appropriately.

Dhoni is a good player. He has done a lot for Indian cricket. He has lead us to own all 3 big name trophies as well as the Number 1 Test team. That being said... his time, in test cricket at least, is up. Captaincy is not a position to be occupied for so long, except for the very best (smith, ponting etc) Dhoni is not HALF as good tactically let alone as a player compared to ppl like this. When MSD first got captaincy in 2008 it was a breath of fresh air. Before that, Kumble showed fire and passion and lead from the front in tough series vs Australia etc. Before him, Dravid in 2005/6 when he got it from Ganguly, instilled a new sense of passion into the Indian team. Before him too, Ganguly lead a young indian team from shambles of match fixing to respectability. In each of these scenarios, the previous captaincy had become stale, mundane, and unimaginative. Players did not respond. A change in leadership caused tremendous gains for the team, at least in the short term. It is time for that now. Who do we look to? Can Virat Kohli step up? I think he can.
