Donny
Jimmy Maher won the toss and sent Victoria in to bat at the Gabba. Early success as both Ashley Noffke and Andy Bichel took a wicket. It was Hodge's highest first class score and the partnership of 379 broke the record for highest partnership for any wicket at the Gabba. Donny
He'll need a couple more big innings to restore his position of around a year ago. Had a poor English CC season and the disasterous ODI series against India which probably saw Brad Haddin and Dave Hussey pass him in the pecking order - at least for the ODI team. Is probably still only an injury short of the Test team as Adam Voges is also not setting the world on fire. -------------------------------------------------- Queensland all out for 77. Victoria won by 276 runs (Their 3rd biggest Victory by runs against Queensland in First class cricket). More remarkable considering their first innings deficit of 228. Link to comment
Donny
Doug Bollinger absolutely on fire!! He has 3/7 in Tasmania's second innings after claiming 6/68 in the first. Michael Dighton (0) first ball then Michael Di Venuto (0) and Daniel Marsh (0) in successive balls in his second over. Make that 4/7. 10 for the match. The hat trick ball went for 4 byes then he claimed George Bailey (0), next ball. Tas scored 214 (Bracken 2/24) and followed on. 4/13. Link to comment
Donny
Tasmania fought back with an unfinished 130 run partnership from Travis Birt (68 n.o.) and Luke Butterworth (62 n.o.) to be 4/141 at stumps - still 157 behind NSW. Link to comment

Mr. Wicket
Good stuff, nice to see Champagne producing the goods at last. He's been a very promising bowler - the selectors have been high on him for a while, not least given that he's tall, quick, a left armer who can swing it nicely and get bounce - hope he keeps delivering results like this. And yay, another win for the Blues. :D Link to comment
Donny
In Darren Lehmann's last match, Jason Gillespie did the right thing by his old mate and took 7/58. However, Brad Hogg treated Boof with little respect as he equalled David Hookes' record for one over with 29 - 6 4 6 6 6 1. WA out for 236. Link to comment
Donny
Boof's doing it again ! In what may be his last innings in first class cricket, he's 40 n.o. from 32 balls. SA is 3/188. Callum Ferguson out for 81. Matt Elliott 58. Lunch. Link to comment
Donny
Lehmann has scored 81 first class centuries - equal with Mark Waugh. The two have the most for Aussies after Don Bradman (117). Justin Langer (78), Matt Hayden (76) and Ricky Ponting (67) are next best of current players. He's 72 n.o. SA: 4/244. Link to comment
Donny
There it is! He goes from 89* at tea to 101* with 3 fours in the first over after tea. Well played Boof. Link to comment
