Can Pakistan enforce a "special follow-on" so we stupid fans can be spared an extra day?

finey is just trying to jinx the Pakistanis...hain na finey???
If I say that, then the jinx wont be effective :hatsoff: But all that jinx/reverse jinx apart, I'm truly sad and disappointed. I mean, its one thing that SRT goes brain dead for a minute, but its another that you have a batting line up boasting Jaffer, Dravid, Ganguly and not one of them go on to make a Test match 100 on a SECOND DAY "relatively nice" batting pitch. Thats sad, if not anything.

The most frustrating thing with Indian team is that many a times they are in a good position, and they lose the intensity and focus (intensity being the operative thingy). Then the momentum swings, and it gets oh so painful to see. We should be kicking the opposition when they are down, and not allow them to get back in (a class opposition may still get back in with great play, but those are exceptions and should not be the norm that most times we let the opposition claw-their-way-back-in).

well we did allow them to get to 230 after being down at 142-8. But the point is India did get to 70-1 and pakistan hit back with fantastic bowling after lunch. In test cricket, half an hour of inspired cricket can often offset an entire day's cricket. Thats what happened post lunch. With the exception of Sachin, all the top order wickets were due to some very good bowling. Karthik's technical deficiency was exploited by Akthar, Wasim Jaffer too was beaten by angle and length and played on his crease. Ganguly was beaten and bowled through the smallest gap in defence and Dravid was almost squared up on playing slightly across and bowled by a beauty. All this on a pitch that was hardly doing anything to help bowlers. So we have to admit that although this Pak team is by no means classic, they played classic test cricket for an hour and it was at a crucial stage of the 1st innings and paid a lot of dividends for them

Sh itty threads like these are what drag down the quality of discussion on these forums.
My threads are poor, but Oh, all the threads you start are only "well thought out" :giggle: In anycase, why infringe on others expressing their views. If you dont like this particular point of view, you are free to move on. When (some) people see negativity about Indian team, they like to abuse the posters or their threads like how you have done, rather than move on if they dont like it. Remember, not everyone will accept mediocre cricket - be it batting, bowling or fielding
