FischerTal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Jaitley becomes a finance minister on issues of defence' date=' and a defence minister on issues of finance.[/quote'] Really need a full time defence minister.
surajmal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I would much rather have an active judiciary which sees what the center is doing rather than one which keeps its eyes' date=' ears and mouths shut and let's the Govt get away with everything.[/quote'] :haha: Prehaps it is time to pick up that 8th standard civics textbook.
Sachin=GOD Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Strange thing is that the list of names was already given to the SIT set up after the SC order in May to investigate the black money issue. So what do the SC judges want the list for? Jerk off to it? The SC has given the list of names to the SIT today.
surajmal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Really need a full time defence minister. Jaitley has done more in 5 months than Antony did in 10 years while being sick. (I guess that says more about saint antony that AJ) Still, agree, It is time for a full time minister.
Sachin=GOD Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Checks and balances exist for a reason. All branches of govt are equal. Of course they are but would you say that the Central Govts over the last few decades behaved as 'equals'?
Raghav_12 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I would much rather have an active judiciary which sees what the center is doing rather than one which keeps its eyes' date=' ears and mouths shut and let's the Govt get away with everything.[/quote'] Agree to certain extent but super-power-ment of judiciary is against the basic tenets of the democracy. I don't think order to govt to make list public is completely within powers of Judicary. Govt has to take that call considering multiple factors including potential impact on relations with foreign countries.
FischerTal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Jaitley has done more in 5 months than Anthony did in 10 years while being sick. Jaitley will get burned out. Not everyone is a crazy workaholic like Modi.
sticky wicket Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Really need a full time defence minister. Whichever, but From all the cabinet ministers Jaitley looks out of place and incompetent, especially for such a high profile position, Jaitley should been just a official spokesperson, he is very good media person. Seems to got position by being a Modi chump and backing Modi over the last decade.
Sachin=GOD Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Jaitley will get burned out. Not everyone is a workaholic like Modi. Jaitley will be relieved of defense in the upcoming cabinet expansion.

FischerTal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Of course they are but would you say that the Central Govts over the last few decades behaved as 'equals'? Of course not. Indira Gandhi is perfect example of this. However, you don't want to slay one monster by creating another, especially when we know of all the corruption cases that exist in judiciary as well
Sachin=GOD Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Whichever, but From all the cabinet ministers Jaitley looks out of place and incompetent, especially for such a high profile position, Jaitley should been just a official spokesperson, he is very good media person. Seems to got position by being a Modi chump and backing Modi over the last decade. He is THE most competent of all the ministers in this Govt and seeing that he has Finance and Defense (and Corporate Affairs as well), and has also had health problems, the work he has done so far is great.

surajmal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 #Black money: SC says it doesn't want to embarrass people by opening the list given by Govt. @IndianExpress :hysterical: Adjective that I used is apt. too apt.
FischerTal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Jaitley will be relieved of defense in the upcoming cabinet expansion. Who do u think it will go to? I have no clue
Sachin=GOD Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Of course not. India Gandhi is perfect example of this. However' date=' you don't want to slay one monster by creating another, especially when we know of all the corruption cases that exist in judiciary as well[/quote'] When I say 'active judiciary' I'm only talking about the kind of actions that I have seen from the judiciary in the last 2-3 years......just a bit of judicial overreach is good to keep the Govt on its toes at all times, especially since almost all Govts in the past few decades have abused and misused power.
FischerTal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 When I say 'active judiciary' I'm only talking about the kind of actions that I have seen from the judiciary in the last 2-3 years......just a bit of judicial overreach is good to keep the Govt on its toes at all times' date=' especially since almost all Govts in the past few decades have abused and misused power.[/quote'] Well in that case you may see a few cases of governments hitting back in the future, especially if it is led by someone who has a strong mandate like Modi. Do u know the amount required in lok Sabha/rajya Sabha to overturn a Supreme Court decision?
surajmal Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 So when are aaptards, libtards etc launching a morcha against SC?

seedhi Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 This has to be the most idiotic thing the SC judges have ever done. Knowing fully well that the SIT had the list already, they force the government to provide the list in the sealed envelope to the court. After the government has done that, they refuse to open the envelope and say that it will be given to the SIT to probe.:hysterical::hysterical: Supreme Court has reduced itself to a nautanki!
