bulbul Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I think the thinking was that they were looking for good domestic batsman of which there are not many Sarfaraz, Jalaj, Sammy, Milne (RCB's continuing obsession with pacers) and even Wiese are good buys Price paid for Dinesh karthik, Sean Abbott seems high They could have gone with CM Gautham (don't now why they wont go for Karnataka players) and got Amla (who is a big asset for his strength in playing spinners ) Amla not required as we don't have a space for anther foreign player. There is something between Mallya & established Karnataka players,even in last auction he didnt took any local players.May be he thinks because of local players team failed so far. End of day majority of Karnataka players got selected one or other franchise,good for them.
