Precambrian Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 "'We are better than Australia' - de Villiers" Following South Africa's 1-4 series defeat in Australia, AB de Villiers was understandably unhappy with several areas of their game. He criticised their batting, fielding, the number of extras they conceded, the way they approached the last 10 overs of innings and their lack of ruthlessness, but he did not think any of that makes them a lesser side or any less likely to win the World Cup. In fact, quite the opposite. "There is absolutely no doubt in [my] mind we are the better team," de Villiers said on the squad's arrival back in South Africa. "We didn't play the big moments as well as we wanted to but I really believe we could have beaten them 4-1 on another day but it didn't happen that way. They will be one of the favourites for the World Cup but I still believe we are better team. We will be the team to beat at the World Cup. http://www.espncricinfo.com/southafrica/content/story/802937.html :((:((
SLICKR392 Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Better team? LOL! Their bowling looks weaks, lower middle can't put bat on ball. Missing Duminy, but he's not gonna turn it upside down for them.
veer Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 In one game they had (I think it was 3rd ODI).. Steyn, Morkel, Philander... and then 20 overs from Farhan B, ABDV, and Tahir... Couldnt believe they went with that combo.

prinzo Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 They rather fail now in that series then in the world cup. hope against hope
CoverDrive Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 there some very good players in that team. somehow the tactic of converting from a winning position is missing.
