Having just returned from Antarctica, I wanted to share some pictures of what it was like down there. Antarctica is one of the most desolate, inhospitable and dangerous places on earth. Not to mention, it is also one of the most difficult to get to. There are many ways one can get to Antarctica. We chose to charter a private plane, thus giving us freedom of the places we could cover on this expedition. Start in Sydney, Australia and start heading south:

I got invited to take part in a research expedition in a private aircraft with other glaciologists, researchers and scientists. I couldn't turn such an offer down.
