Vijy Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I think he's a trundler, but appears to be a super-accurate one. He might be useful in drying runs up from one end. Also can bat usefully too.
Vijy Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 The key, IMO, is his ER of 2.05 which is extremely low, even if you take into account more helpful pitches and division C into account. Siddle, in his peak, used to do a very good job of bowling dry. Eng, when the team was doing well, also had someone doing this. If we are looking for a 5 bowler attack, Shivakumar might deserve consideration to hold one end up, whilst the other 4 are more attacking. Can also bat to some extent, as seen from a bat avg of 30.
