And I'm not saying that Pakistan is a brilliant country, I mean, it is facing problems these days, but if the problems are exaggerated then of course I would need to correct some people. Only 10 years ago 2 of Pakistan's 11 players were from minority groups, Danish Kaneria and Yousuf. Were they not safe?

In Pakistan women are treated like mukhtar mai and told they are humilating the country and not allowed to leave.

There is no point in bringing Pakistan here. Fact is that he was brought in the team despite being a minority. Whether he wanted to convert later on was his own personal choice. And I agree, let's not bring Pakistan here. It wasn't me who brought it in though.

We had MAK Pataudi and Mohammad Azharuddin captaining Indian teams for long period of time ( Pakistan will never ever have a non-muslim captain IMO. Youhana had to convert to captain) not to even mention other muslim players like Zaheer Khan, Shami, Arshad Ayub, Abid Ali, Salim Durrani, Farrukh Engineer, Syed Kirmani, Abbas Ali Baig, Saba Karim and many others. We won't even go into Sikh players like BS Bedi, Bhajji,etc. And nobody in Indian team was forced to make a 'personal choice' :winky:

It's the other way round, with Indians making comments on Pakistanis. 20% of India is minority while only 3% of Pakistan is, which is a big factor as to why you would see less Hindus / Christians in major positions. And no way was Yousuf forced to convert. If he really was forced then he wouldn't be as devout as he is. He is a very religious guy, and you can't be so dedicated to your religion if you were forced.

While I understand some media outlets are far right or far left, but to ignore them completely is also stupid ! Just to put some numbers on attrocities There were around 70 (communal violence) deaths in India in 2012 , out of which nearly half were Hindus and Half Muslims. Around 108 in 2013, 60% Muslims and 40% Hindus. PS: There were come christian deaths as well, very very few like between (if that). Now do you want me to put Pakistan's numbers, (I'll not even bother, because even you will agree that it is far more than this more like between 5 to 10 times more). But here is the kicker, how many of them were actually from Majority Community ? And you will probably also agree that it somewhere 4 and 10% (if that).

Why have 16% minorities become 2-3 % in Pakistan whereas India has increase in minority population since 1947? Don't give me bull***** like they received message of Allah. They were persecuted/killed or converted. This is a fact. You don't go to Yousuf's bedroom or hall to see how devout he is. All you see is his public image. So let us not speculate how devout Christian he was or how devout muslim he is. He converted for whatever reason and he knows he has to continue it. Christian to muslim is Ok in Pak but if he is even seen as deviating from Islam, it will be apostasy and we know what Apostasy means in Pak. He is now stuck.
