termination Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 If US starts playing cricket' date= Australia will be walk in the park. You could even say if china starts playing cricket, then there will another rivalry in cricket.
kosingh Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Are u kidding? US dominates in the Olympics every year...pretty much would own australia in every sports out there. if cricket was to be serious in US it would make more revenue than all the test nations comnined. No one even takes soccer srsly yet still the team plays exceptionally well. We do however take soccer srsly at women's international which is why it's pretty much no 1 women's team. You do that America does have a cricket team, and they suck? To say that if US played cricket, Aus would be a walk in the park is ridiculous. US can't even consistently be world champions in the team sports they do play seriously- baseball, basketball and ice hockey. But somehow their presence in cricket would reduce Australia to a walk in the park?

But somehow their presence in cricket would reduce Australia to a walk in the park? It is mostly filed by Asians. Like how Hong Kong's team is mostly Pakistani. That's not real American cricket team. A real American cricket team would be composed of MLB style cricket teams similar to IPL teams. It is true that US presence in cricket would not make Aus a walk in the park. However, my opinion was that it might be the only team to make Aus sweat since they are tired of beating most of the test teams for like decades. There are only two sports that is well recognized world wide and that is Fifa World Cup and ICC Cricket WC that you can say is mostly about showing your countries athletic abilities in those sports. Baseball world chamionship, no one even watches those nor do US players takes those tournaments seriously. For example, consider basketball many of the top players don't even play in the world tournament because they already make millions playing in the MAIN national leagues. However, a general rule is that countries overall athletic abilities are determined by how well they do in the Olympics.
Ashrafool Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 You could even say if china starts playing cricket' date='then there will another rivalry in cricket.[/quote'] No...there are many differences.
BlueBee Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 This is the No.1 test team? Come to India :sherlock:
MCGGG Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Also, our batsmen are taught to bowl, and our bowlers to bat.
Ashrafool Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Why is Germany so good in soccer? Cuz they just are... why is Aus so good in cricket? Cuz they just are...
Scarves Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I don't mean that Australia beat them due to luck. Just that Australia is able to produce more skilled cricketers than South Africa' date=' England etc due to luck.[/quote'] No. Better grass roots program. Competitive FC cricket due to 6 teams which means it is harder for people to get into those teams and quality of cricket.
