Brilliant Captaincy today

He is rightfully castigated for his tactical blunders but today MSD was very good.Proactive and aggressive ,brilliant bowling changes at right time ,no easy singles. Basically defeated Misbah in captaincy ,who I thought was pretty ordinary during middle overs. P.S: As a batsman I still believe MSD is finshed.

Not sure why he had use Suresh Raina in the 11th over. I was very worried that he would continue to use Raina, but fortunately he went for 9 runs in the over and he stopped using him. Had he continued to use him ahead of umesh , we would have lost this match. Thank god for the 9 runs over.

not really; we were tightening screw around the batsman. the thought might have been to induce a false shot against part timer in order to get a move on.

Good captaincy today. In such a high pressure game, it is difficult not to mess up but he managed the pressure brilliantly. I think his batting form will return soon.

* the selected the right combination - picking dhawan over rayudu paid off * took the right decision after toss. Did not try to be cute- pakistans weakness while chasing is worse than our bowler quality to defend it and out chasing strength * sending raina while spinners were bowling was good move. Misbah was really poor in not attacking raina with pacers * changed bowlers proactively- got umesh back to attack and used mohit well to contain * bought in ashwin early enough to make a difference * was proactive in field and took a good review * good luck plan to attAck misbah round the wicket- dude very poor against pace That said he needs to be better as our pacers had easy time bouncing out Pakistanis
