Rs. 2000 Cr for coastal connectivity programme. 3. Paperless ticketing hand held device for TTE to be introduced. 4. Will setup “Kaya Kalp†to help in technology development. 5. ISRO to be involved 3438 level crossings to be eliminated. 6. NO NEW TRAIN ANNOUNCED. 7. Railway will spent Rs.96,182 Crs on capacity expansion in FY 16. 8. Travel between Delhi Kolkata, Delhi Mumbai will be overnight journey. 9. 1330% increase in Railway Electrification over previous year. 10. 77 New Projects to be implemented. 11. North Eastern States will have more new connectivity. 12. Satellite Railway Terminals in 10 Major Cities. 13. Mobile Application to address complaints of people. 14. Rs.8.5 Lacs Crore investments in 5 Years. 15. Introduction of integrated ticketing will be done; a defense travel system has been developed to make travel easier. 16. Plans to building partnerships to gain long term financing & improve connectivity. 17. NO INCREASE IN PASSENGERS FARE.

In last congress tenure it was estimated to very much less than this. Privatize using industries for freight from what i understand. Its the part that makes money for railways even the passenger trains live off the freight profits.
