I saw the other thread about the most hated team, and suddenly realized that I really used to hate our rival colony team. So I wanted to share an anecdote. Feel free to comment on each others anecdote, or share one of your own. Let's relive those great days. So here goes mine. I used to hate my rival colony team in Delhi. In summers we used to play the other colony every day in a 12 over match of RS. 10/15 per player. There used to be whole lot of cheating and maa-bhen galiyaz whenever either side used to tour other colony. For some reason, even though the wickets were same, home team always used to win at their home and suck at the away game(which was just in another park, just a mile away). One time my team/colony were about to beat them at their ground. We came to know that they were short of money and that even if we win the game, they won't give us the full money, which is RS. 110 that is 10 rupees for each player. They started creating some fights so that they game gets abandoned before they could lose. Eventually, they fought for a wide and the game ended right there with no result as a big fight broke out. We didn't get the deserving money, but we surely exchanged lot of maa-bhen gaaliz with them. It was great fun to steal their stumps and a bat and bring it to our colony since they did not want to pay us the money(I remember the guy in the other team was crying since he personally owned those stumps and the bat.) We came back to our colony our our bicycles as heros who had just won a Sahara Cup or an Ashes series. We made sure to never give those stumps back and bat to the guy. I don't know where those opposition people are today, but I guess I STILL HATE THEM. :)
