What are we looking for in this year's IPL to improve our team?

We desperately require some power hitters to bolster our lower order batting. Jadeja has been tried as he has failed to impress. I'm not saying we have to discard him but we need to also look out for some substitutes. Also, MS might not play for a very long time. We can use the IPL to identify some power hitters.Specifically, I'll be looking out for some bowling all rounders in this year's IPL who have the power game and the temperament to hit bowlers like Starc/MJ/Morkel/Steyn. Wicket keeper bats are also crucial as we don't know how long MS would continue to play. Even if he decides to retire after some years, we should ideally try to include the Wicket keeper in the squad and play him as a power hitter to get him some exposure at this level. Also, with the nature of wickets and field restrictions, it has become paramount to take wickets. For this we require strike bowlers and not just bowlers who can restrict the scoring. IPL can be a good platform for someone like Aaron to get in the ODI scheme of things. Competing with Starc will help him immensely. Great opportunity for him.

Dunno if they would just remove him from the team unless someone can match him in the field and also be that lower order hitter we want at that position. Sarfaraz Khan I think has potential to take that position in the future. I think he's a Yusuf Pathan level bowler though and not sure about his fielding. It would also be unfair to take to he best bowlers right away. He needs to be groomed.

He's a lower order bat and offspin bowler. At least he was in the U19 World Cup.
