Ideal World Cup Format?

ICC are planning to have a 10 team event in 2019 , but the greats like sachin lara feel that globalization of the game is necessary So can we have a 20 team even with the following format Group Stage: 20 teams with 5 groups of 4 each Group A) Aus, Sl , PNG, Nepal Group B) Ind , Afghan, Zim , UAE Group C) Eng , Windies , Scotland , Canada Group D) Pak , Bang , Hong Kong , Ireland Group E) Sa, Nz , Malaysia , Bermuda Top 2 teams from each group make it to Super 10 .(with points earned against qualifying team carried forward) In Super 10 each team plays each other with top 4 going to knockouts

This WC victory was as dominating as any of our WCs' date=' beast of a team.[/quote'] LOL turn it up, good victory but come on was probably our 2nd WORST side, with the only worse one being 1999 (and purely as we lost more games). This side was well rounded but our batting was carried by Smith and Maxwell...and our bowling lets be honest was Starc with the others playing supporting roles. Look at the spinners in the other WC's...Warne, Hogg........and yep we had Maxwell.

If only 10 teams play, then each of them play each other once, 2SF and a final. Two games on each day.
