+1 And god you must see how the Poms praise him' date=' they belittle other Asian greats and over hype this guy and Mahila like anything.[/quote'] Sanga was good against the Poms recently, which is why. And since 2011 no Indian batsman save Dravid on his last legs played anything of substance in England. Srilanka for some reason raise their game against the Poms, their best performance outside SC have come against England.

Tendulkar, Dravid, Kumble, Wasim etc get plently of praise from Poms. Not that praise from poms is something to cherish.

Wow so much disrespect for Sanga. He is a great guy off the field and that's what matters. On the field he is fighting for his country. That's fine.
Fighting for his country by being a cheating crybaby, not praise-worthy. What made it worse for me was his "Spirit of Cricket" speech. I almost puked hearing that come out of his mouth.

Does not mean you can lie as he did in mcc speech.

Good intention and gesture but isn't he a bit late? Looks like attention seeking if I'm gonna be honest.
why do we have to dissect every good thing like this ? lets for change appreciate a good gesture without assuming anything..

Yeah of course like I said it's a good gesture. All I'm saying is that it he still isn't a 'gentleman' in my eyes.

does not matter ..even i feel he can be hypocrite some times but some times he gets way too much flak and this gesture especially is not related to his hypocrisy at all. just imagine as cricketer you play quick bowling and you remember that and he even changed his helmet since that incident ..what i am trying to say we do not really know these people so trying to judge their character or trying to find some negative reason for such gesture is not needed .

Leaving aside whatever he has done in the past, it still seems like a late gesture. Maybe if this picture was from December...

Fair enough.

Sri Lanka hasn't played a match since the world cup so it must be from before the world cup. (As there is no world cup logo on the shirt).
