Gollum Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/modi-government-exclusive-jails-terrorists-states/1/433324.html - The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has asked all the state governments to set up high security prisons for terrorists. - The ministry is of the view that interaction between terror suspects and other prisoners can lead to indoctrination of others. There is a chance of "sleeper cells" getting active in jails if terrorists and other inmates interact. - Even the Supreme Court in 2009 had suggested separate prisons for terrorists. - MHA has also asked states to make sure that arrangements are made to ensure court hearings are carried out through video conferencing in cases related to high risk prisoners. - Installation of CCTV cameras, mobile jammers with state of the art prison surveillance system is also suggested for such high security prisons. About time, surprised we didn't have this system in place earlier. The incident where 7 SIMI cadre escaped from the MP prison was :facepalm:
