Rahane lacks leadership quality, he seems like someone who prefers to stay away from limelight. But yeah, Ashwin would have been a better choice. Unless they are planning to sit him out, I too don't see the point of Rohit captaining.

You would rather play someone only effective with new ball than someone effective with reverse swing at higher pace on a dead pitch? :poink: Pacer preference in SC, 2 who play downwards: Yadav Shami Aaron Ishant ... ... ... ... Mohit Sharma (great job in WC :hatsoff:) Bhuvi Early stats back this up. Bhuvi 6 tests in SC, 9 wickets at 37. Shami 2 tests 11 wickets at 16, alot of them with reverse at pace. Yadav 5 matches 18 wickets at 27, once again alot of them with reverse + pace (think England test). Haven't checked it but Im sure Yadav, Shami are more effective in a greater portion of the innings where Bhuvi is probably only getting wickets (if any) in first 10 overs. Case closed. :bigboss:
