dial_100 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 So in the 80s and 90s they found the so called Dwarka. They have done so much work on it. They found so many artifacts. Why has it stopped? What is it that they found that made them stop the project? Why there is no dedicated team still working on establishing what exactly was there and bring to the people? Why is not taught in the schools that there was a civilization few thousand years ago at this place? :omg: Just interested in it in an archeological stand point. Please do not turn this into religious thread and get it locked. Humble request: if you cannot add any value to this thread then stay away. :--D
surajmal Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 News that would come out would be detrimental to the sickular fabric of gungadeenustan.
surajmal Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 No worries though, in another news, heart of IVC/Saraswasti is now presumed to be in present day Haryana. So work is ongoing.
amiret Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 why do you believe the excavation has stopped ? From 2007 : K H Vora, scientist in the marine archaeology division of the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Goa. With so much of heritage lying underwater, there is a demand for trained underwater archaeologists. ASI plans to have at least 100 such specialist archaeologists within the next five years. ''Since industrial expansion is taking a toll on coastal areas, marine archaeological excavations have to be done fast in order to salvage antiquities before they are destroyed forever.''
gslv Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 If dwarka is proved to a historical place, then mahabharat will not be counted as myth.
dial_100 Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 ^ no no. It cant be congress alone. Why isn't Guj govt doing it themselves? It is a BJP. There is more to it than what meets the eye. Wondering what is it?
surajmal Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 ^ no no. It cant be congress alone. Why isn't Guj govt doing it themselves? It is a BJP. There is more to it than what meets the eye. Wondering what is it? That is not how it works. Archaeological Survey of India answers to the Central Govt. If Govt of Gujarat were to order its on survey, it would be branded political and findings would be rendered questionable. (you could open the investigation findings to the world - but validation itself would become tricky. Hell the gungadeens and their gora sponsors aren't willing to agree with geological data regarding Saraswati, some of which is sourced from Western Universities' own findings, So why would they believe an Indian state level finding and publish it) Survey has to be done by the proper Agency, ASI. Ofcourse, Goras still won't give 2 hoots but Rest of the Indians will. And that is all that matters. 10 years down the line when all the puppet strings of history departments in India are cut, Rest of the World will believe what Indian historians tell them about India. As it should have always been.
Ironhide Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Congress Govt. didn't like it, it is not a secular project.
dial_100 Posted May 25, 2015 Author Posted May 25, 2015 ^ Are these guys serious? Anyways, now BJP govt should really spend on this department.
